Millet & Quinoa bake.
1 cup of millet
1 cup quinoa
3 good tablespoons of @kavitaskitchen.nz butter chicken paste
1 red or brown onion chopped or a few tablespoons of caramelised onions
1/2 cup chopped capsicum
Big handful of flaked almonds
1 stock cube
4 cups of boiling water
Wild rice bake.
1 cup white rice
1/2 cup wild rice
1 onion chopped
1 handful of raisins
1 handful of flaked almonds
1/2 cup chopped capsicum
1/2 cup chickpeas (canned or cooked)
3 good tablespoons of Kavitas butter chicken paste
1 stock cube
1/4 cup coconut cream
3 cups boiling water
In a casserole dish mix all the other ingredients. Pour over the liquid and put a lid on or use tin foil and bake in the oven for 1 hour at 180degC fan bake. As all ovens and baking dishes are different we recommend you check the bake from 30 minutes onward. If it’s undercooked and too dry add more water. If it’s looking near cooked but too wet take the lid off and lower the temperature to 160 and continue to bake.
